Installation Procedure

  1. Position the turbocharger wastegate actuator (3) on the vehicle.
    2. CAUTION:

    Refer to Fastener Caution .

  2. Install the turbocharger wastegate actuator fasteners (2) and tighten to 25 N.m (18 lb ft).
    3. NOTE:

    Ensure the turbocharger wastegate vacuum connection is secure. A poor connection can result in a diagnostic trouble code (DTC) and lead to misdiagnosis.

  3. Connect the charge air bypass valve vacuum tube (1) to the turbocharger wastegate actuator. Plastic Collar Quick Connect Fitting Service

  4. Connect the turbocharger wastegate actuator arm (2) to the turbocharger.
    5. NOTE:

    Ensure the turbocharger wastegate actuator arm retainer is installed as previously noted.

  5. Install the turbocharger wastegate actuator arm retainer (1).
  6. Install Turbocharger Heat Shield Turbocharger Heat Shield Replacement (Front)Turbocharger Heat Shield Replacement (Rear)
  7. Install Steering Gear.Steering Gear Replacement (AWD, LF3, NXC)
