Preliminary Procedure
- Raise and support the vehicle. Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle
- Exhaust Muffler@Exhaust Front Pipe - Disconnect and position aside - Exhaust Muffler Replacement (FWD)Exhaust Muffler Replacement (AWD)

Rear Differential Drive Flange Bolts and Retainers (Qty: 3)
Procedure
- Place the transmission control in the Neutral position.
- Mark a reference point between the propeller shaft and the flange.
- Using the appropriate tools, remove the flange bolts and the retainers.
- Use the DT-49064
puller, if needed to remove the propeller shaft.
Tighten
29 N.m (21 lb ft)

Support Bearing Mounting Bolts (Qty: 4) Procedure
- Support the support bearings with jack stands.
- Clean threads of all residue of the old threader locker.
- Apply thread locker to the bolts. Adhesives, Fluids, Lubricants, and Sealers
Tighten
22 N.m (16 lb ft) |

Propeller Shaft
NOTE:
Install a NEW propeller shaft flange seal and propeller shaft retaining ring.
Procedure
- Using the DT-49030
fork, remove the propeller shaft from the transfer case.
- It may be necessary to have the help of an assistant to remove the propeller shaft.
- Install a NEW propeller shaft flange seal.
- Install a NEW propeller shaft retaining ring.
- Apply grease on the spline. Adhesives, Fluids, Lubricants, and Sealers
