Removal Procedure

    WARNING:

    Refer to Gasoline/Gasoline Vapors Warning .

    WARNING:

    Refer to Safety Glasses Warning .

  1. Remove the evaporative emission canister purge tube. Evaporative Emission Canister Purge Tube Replacement 
    2. Fig 1: Evaporative Emission Hose And Retainers

  2. Remove the evaporative emission hose (1) from the retainers (2). Plastic Collar Quick Connect Fitting Service
  3. Raise and support the vehicle. Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle (CTS)Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle (CTS-V)
  4. Remove the underbody front air deflector right side. Underbody Front Air Deflector Replacement - Right Side
  5. Remove the front body exhaust heat shield right side. Front Body Exhaust Heat Shield Replacement (Right)Front Body Exhaust Heat Shield Replacement (Left)
  6. Remove the right side catalytic converter and exhaust. Exhaust System Replacement (LF3, LGX)

  7. Disconnect the evaporative emission hose (1) and remove from retainers (2). Plastic Collar Quick Connect Fitting Service 
  8. Remove the evaporative emission hose (1) from the vehicle.
