Installation Procedure

  1. Install the NEW manual shift shaft seal (1) using DT-47770  seal installer.

  2. Install the manual shift shaft (2) aligning the position switch assembly onto the shaft.

  3. Install the NEW manual shift shaft pin (1).
  4. Install the NEW manual shift shaft detent lever hub pin (3).
  5. Install the control valve body. Refer to Control Valve Body Replacement (M5U, M5T)  and Control Valve Body Replacement (M5N) .
  6. Install the automatic transmission range selector lever. Refer to Automatic Transmission Range Selector Lever Replacement (M5U) .
  7. Reprogram the transmission. Refer to Solenoid Valve Characterization Reprogramming
