WARNING: Refer to SIR Warning . WARNING: Replace the passenger presence system as a complete assembly to prevent possible injury to the occupant. All the components in the service kit are assembled and calibrated as a unit. Using only some of the components in the service kit will cause the passenger presence system to operate improperly. WARNING: To avoid personal injuries, re-zero the passenger presence system whenever you remove or replace the seat cushion or trim. Failure to do so may cause the system to malfunction. Preliminary Procedures Remove the front seat. Refer to Front Seat Removal and Installation - Bucket (W2E) . Remove the inner recliner finish cover. Refer to Driver or Passenger Seat Inner Recliner Finish Cover Replacement (W2E) . Remove the front seat outer adjuster front finish cover. Refer to Driver or Passenger Seat Outer Adjuster Front Finish Cover Replacement (W2E) . Remove the handle bezel bracket. Refer to Driver or Passenger Seat Recliner Handle Bezel Bracket Replacement (W2E) . When working with the passenger seat, re-zero the inflatable restraint passenger presence system whenever the seat cushion or any component of the passenger presence system is removed. Refer to Inflatable Restraint Passenger Presence System Replacement - Front .
1	Seat Cushion Assembly Bolt (Qty: 2) CAUTION: Refer to Fastener Caution . Procedure Disengage the seat cushion cover push pin retainers from the seat cushion frame crossmember. Disconnect the J-channel retainers from the seat cushion frame, pulling back the seat cover to gain access to the bolts. TIP: Remove the leg support assembly/track with the seat cushion cover and pad. Tighten 10 N.m (89 lb in)
2	Seat Cushion Assembly Procedure Disconnect the fan assemblies from the seat cushion pad. Disconnect the electrical connectors that attach to the seat cushion, if equipped. Remove the seat cushion assembly from the seat cushion frame. When replacing the front passenger seat cushion, you must also replace the inflatable restraint passenger presence system. Refer to Inflatable Restraint Passenger Presence System Replacement - Front .

Procedure

Disengage the seat cushion cover push pin retainers from the seat cushion frame crossmember.
Disconnect the J-channel retainers from the seat cushion frame, pulling back the seat cover to gain access to the bolts.

TIP: Remove the leg support assembly/track with the seat cushion cover and pad.
Tighten
10 N.m (89 lb in)
