CAUTION: To prevent component damage, DO NOT use metal tools to remove the trim. CAUTION: Be sure to follow the service procedure when removing the trim panel. Failure to follow service procedure may cause damage to the trim panel. Preliminary Procedure Remove the right and left front floor console appliques. Refer to Front Floor Console Applique Replacement . Remove the transmission control boot. Refer to Transmission Control Lever Boot Replacement .
1	Front Floor Console Transmission Shifter Trim Plate Assembly Procedure Use a flat bladed plastic trim tool in order to release the retaining clips securing the front floor console transmission shift plate to the console assembly. Disconnect the electrical connections. When replacing the front floor console transmission shift plate assembly, transfer all necessary components.

Remove the right and left front floor console appliques. Refer to Front Floor Console Applique Replacement .
Remove the transmission control boot. Refer to Transmission Control Lever Boot Replacement .

Front Floor Console Transmission Shifter Trim Plate Assembly

Procedure

Use a flat bladed plastic trim tool in order to release the retaining clips securing the front floor console transmission shift plate to the console assembly.
Disconnect the electrical connections.
When replacing the front floor console transmission shift plate assembly, transfer all necessary components.
