Removal Procedure
- Remove the exhaust system. Refer to Exhaust System Replacement
.
- Steps 3-5 apply to Sedan/Wagon only. Proceed to step 6 for Coupe.
- Place a jack stand under the rear differential assembly.

- Remove the two front differential mounting bolts (1).
- Lower the differential slightly to provide additional clearance to the Evap canister.
- Remove the two EVAP canister retaining nuts and lower the rear of the canister enough to clear the weld studs.
- Slide the canister rearward from the body brace to gain access to the canister vent valve.
- Clean away any debris that may be present around the EVAP canister vent valve.
- Disconnect the electrical connector from the EVAP canister vent valve.

- Twist the EVAP canister vent valve counterclockwise.
- Pull the EVAP canister vent valve from the EVAP canister.
