Preliminary Procedure Reposition the liftgate hydraulic pump. Refer to Liftgate Hydraulic Pump Replacement .
1	Liftgate Hydraulic Actuator Quick Coupler
2	Liftgate Hydraulic Actuator Procedure Place a clean protective covering over the interior and adjacent areas. Reposition the pump so that the lines are on top for minimal leakage. Disconnect the quick connects using J-8059 pliers while gently pulling on the hydraulic actuator hose or equivalent. Ensure the quick connects are not distorted during removal or installation by over spreading the quick connects. Bleed the hydraulic system. Refer to Liftgate Hydraulic System Bleeding . Refill the hydraulic system. Refer to Liftgate Hydraulic System Refilling . Special Tools J-8059 Snap Ring Pliers- Parallel Jaw For equivalent regional tools, refer to Special Tools .

Procedure
