WARNING: Refer to Eye Protection Warning . WARNING: Refer to Liftgate Hydraulic System Warning . Preliminary Procedures Disconnect the battery. Refer to Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection . Open and support the liftgate. Remove the rear compartment floor stowage compartment. Refer to Rear Compartment Floor Stowage Compartment Tray Replacement . Remove the quarter upper trim panel. Refer to Quarter Upper Trim Panel Replacement . Position a protective covering over the interior and the adjacent body panels.
1	Tie Wrap Retainer (Qty: 7) Procedure Cut the tie wraps and replace with new tie wraps.
2	Liftgate Hydraulic Actuator Hose Procedure Do not disconnect the hydraulic hoses from the hydraulic actuator. Reposition the liftgate hydraulic actuator to a position that will avoid bending the hoses. Disconnect the liftgate hydraulic actuator hoses from the hydraulic actuator pump. Refer to Liftgate Hydraulic Actuator Hose Disconnection and Connection .
3	Liftgate Hydraulic Actuator with Hose Procedure Release the hydraulic hose rubber grommet from the liftgate opening channel. Disconnect the liftgate hydraulic actuator from the liftgate and liftgate opening and slowly pull the hydraulic hoses from the pillar. Inspect the liftgate hydraulic system for proper operation before final assembly of trim panels. Refer to Liftgate Hydraulic System Refilling , and Liftgate Hydraulic System Bleeding .
