Cleaning Procedure

WARNING: This page is about a different variant/trim than selected.
  1. Remove any old thread sealant and gasket material or sealant.
  2. Clean all the following areas with solvent:
    • Sealing surfaces
    • Oil passages
    • Bearing journals
  3. Clean all threaded and through holes with solvent.
  4. Clean the old oil manifold plate in order to use for the main bearing clearance procedure.
    5. CAUTION: Refer to Safety Glasses Caution in Cautions and Notices.
  5. Dry the lower engine block with compressed air.
