Removal Procedure

  1. Drain the engine oil. Refer to Engine Oil and Oil Filter Replacement .
  2. Remove the front frame. Refer to Frame Replacement - Front .
  3. Fig 1: Removing & Installing Bolt Securing Transmission Fluid Cooler Piper Brace To The Engine

  4. Remove the bolt securing transmission fluid cooler pipes brace to the engine.
  5. Remove the 3 lower transmission mounting bolts.

  7. Remove the oil pan bolts.
  8. Carefully pry the oil pan away from the engine block.

    Remove the oil pan from the engine block.

  9. Clean the cylinder block mating surfaces.
  10. Clean and inspect the oil pan. Refer to Oil Pan Cleaning and Inspection .
