Installation Procedure

  1. Align the trim panel with the I/P retainer.
  2. Push forward on the trim plate in order to engage the three retainers, while aligning the A/C housing with the A/C ducts.
    NOTE: Refer to FASTENER NOTICE  in Cautions and Notices.
  3. Install the screws to the accessory trim panel.

    Tighten 

    Tighten the screws to 2 N.m (18 lb in).

  4. Install the screws through the straps to the carrier.

    Tighten 

    Tighten the screws to 2 N.m (18 lb in).

  5. Install the I/P cluster trim panel. Refer to TRIM PANEL REPLACEMENT - INSTRUMENT PANEL (I/P) CLUSTER   . 
  6. Install the PSIR module. Refer to AIR BAG MODULES in Air Bag Restraint Systems.
  7. Install the I/P upper trim pad. Refer to TRIM PAD REPLACEMENT - INSTRUMENT PANEL (I/P) UPPER   . 
  8. Enable the SIR. Refer to ZONE 3 and ZONE 5 in Air Bag Restraint Systems.
