Installation Procedure

  1. Install the speaker wiring harness to the trim pad (2).
  2. Install the speaker grilles to the trim pad (2). Fold over the speaker grilles' retaining tabs, in order to secure the speaker grilles.
  3. Install the speakers to the trim pad (2). Refer to ENTERTAINMENT SYSTEM  in Entertainment.
  4. Install the I/P trim pad (2) to the I/P assembly, and reconnect the electrical connection (1).

  5. Slide the I/P pad forward in order to engage the front retainers to the I/P carrier.
  6. Align the rear edge of the I/P pad (1) with the I/P cluster bezel, and snap the retainers into the upper pad.
    NOTE: Refer to FASTENER NOTICE  in Cautions and Notices.
  7. Install the fasteners (2) into the outlet deflector openings.

    Tighten 

    Tighten the fasteners to 2 N.m (18 lb in).

  8. Open the air outlets (1).

  9. Install the air outlet vents. Refer to DEFLECTOR REPLACEMENT -- INSTRUMENT PANEL AIR in Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning.
  10. Install the right and the left windshield garnish moldings. Refer to INTERIOR TRIM  in Interior Trim.
  11. Enable the SIR. Refer to ZONE 3 and ZONE 5 in Air Bag Restraint Systems.
