Installation Procedure

  1. Connect the electrical connectors and install the sunload sensors to the defroster grille. Refer to SUNLOAD AND TWILIGHT SENTINEL SENSOR REPLACEMENT   . 
  2. Align the defroster grille (3) with the I/P carrier.
    NOTE: Refer to FASTENER NOTICE  in Cautions and Notices.
  3. Install the defroster grille fasteners (2).

    Tighten 

    Tighten the defroster grille fasteners to 2 N.m (18 lb in).

  4. Install the I/P upper trim panel. Refer to TRIM PAD REPLACEMENT - INSTRUMENT PANEL (I/P) UPPER   . 
  5. Enable the SIR. Refer to ZONE 3 and ZONE 5 in Air Bag Restraint Systems.
