Removal Procedure

CAUTION: Refer to SIR HANDLING CAUTION .
  1. Disable the SIR system. Refer to DISABLING & ACTIVATING AIR BAG SYSTEM .
  2. Remove the IP (Instrument Panel) upper trim pad. Refer to Trim Pad Replacement - Instrument Panel (I/P) Upper 
  3. Remove the IP cluster trim panel. Refer to Trim Panel Replacement - Instrument Panel (I/P) Cluster 
  4. Remove the screws from the accessory trim panel.
  5. Remove the PSIR module. Refer to REMOVAL & INSTALLATION (PASSENGER-SIDE) .

  6. Remove the two screws from the straps at the carrier.
  7. Pull rearward on the trim panel in order to disengage the three retainers, and remove the trim plate.
