1 Did you perform the Power Sunroof Diagnostic System Check? - Go to Step 2  Go to Diagnostic System Check - Power Sunroof 
2 Perform the sunroof re-initialization. Refer to Sunroof Motor Synchronization .
Does the system operate normally?
- Go to TESTING FOR INTERMITTENT AND POOR CONNECTIONS Go to Step 3

  1. Turn ON the ignition, with the engine OFF.
  2. Select the power window lockout switch to the OFF position.
  3. Operate the RF power window switch.
Does the window operate?
- Go to Step 4  Go to Step 8

  1. Disconnect the sunroof switch harness connector.
  2. Connect a test lamp between the RAP 2 fused supply voltage circuit at the sunroof switch harness connector and a good ground.
Does the test lamp illuminate?
- Go to Step 5  Go to Step 11 
5 Is the sunroof glass between the closed and vent position? - Go to Step 6  Go to Step 13 
6 Connect a fused jumper wire between the RAP 2 fused supply voltage circuit and sunroof switch open/tilt down signal circuit at the sunroof switch harness connector for 3 seconds.
Did the sunroof slide either to the closed or open position?
- Go to Step 14  Go to Step 7

  1. Disconnect the sunroof module harness connector.
  2. Test the sunroof switch open/tilt down signal circuit for an open, short to voltage and short to ground. Refer to CIRCUIT TESTING and WIRING REPAIRS .
Did you find and correct the condition?
- Go to Step 29  Go to Step 16

  1. Remove the PWR WDO circuit breaker from the junction block-I/P.
  2. Connect a test lamp between the PWR WDO circuit breaker cavity of the junction block-I/P, that receives voltage from the RAP 2 relay, to a good ground.
Does the test lamp illuminate?
- Go to Step 9  Go to RETAINED ACCESSORY POWER (RAP) INOPERATIVE
9 Test the RAP 2 fused supply voltage circuit for a short to ground. Refer to CIRCUIT TESTING and WIRING REPAIRS .
Did you find and correct the condition?
- Go to Step 29  Go to Step 10 
10 Inspect for poor connections at the PWR WDO circuit breaker. Refer to TESTING FOR INTERMITTENT AND POOR CONNECTIONS and CONNECTOR REPAIRS .
Did you find and correct the condition?
- Go to Step 29  Go to Step 27 
11 Connect a test lamp between the RAP 2 fused supply voltage circuit at the junction block-I/P wiring harness to a good ground.
Does the test lamp illuminate?
- Go to Step 12  Go to Step 24 
12 Repair the RAP 2 fused supply voltage circuit for high resistance or an open. Refer to CIRCUIT TESTING and WIRING REPAIRS .
Did you complete the repair?
- Go to Step 29  -
13 Connect a fused jumper wire between the RAP 2 fused supply voltage circuit and sunroof switch close/tilt up signal circuit at the sunroof switch harness connector for 2 seconds.
Does the sunroof slide either to the closed or vent position?
- Go to Step 14  Go to Step 15 
14 Inspect for a poor connection at the sunroof switch and harness connector. Refer to TESTING FOR INTERMITTENT AND POOR CONNECTIONS and CONNECTOR REPAIRS .
Did you find and correct the condition?
- Go to Step 29  Go to Step 26

  1. Disconnect the sunroof module harness connector.
  2. Test the sunroof switch close/tilt up signal circuit for an open, short to voltage and short to ground. Refer to CIRCUIT TESTING and WIRING REPAIRS .
Did you find and correct the condition?
- Go to Step 29  Go to Step 16 
16 Connect a test lamp between the RAP 2 fused supply voltage circuit at the sunroof module harness connector and a good ground.
Does the test lamp illuminate?
- Go to Step 17  Go to Step 25 
17 Connect a test lamp between the battery positive voltage circuit at the sunroof module harness connector and a good ground.
Does the test lamp illuminate?
- Go to Step 18  Go to Step 21 
18 Connect a test lamp between the battery positive voltage circuit and ground circuit at the sunroof module harness connector.
Does the test lamp illuminate?
- Go to Step 19  Go to Step 22 
19 Measure the resistance between the sunroof switch open/tilt down and the sunroof switch close/tilt up signal circuits. Refer to CIRCUIT TESTING .
Does the resistance measure near the specified value?
OL Go to Step 20  Go to Step 23 
20 Inspect for a poor connection at the sunroof module. Refer to TESTING FOR INTERMITTENT AND POOR CONNECTIONS and CONNECTOR REPAIRS .
Did you find and correct the condition?
- Go to Step 29  Go to Step 28 
21 Repair an open, high resistance or a short to ground in the battery positive voltage circuit. Refer to WIRING REPAIRS .
Did you complete the repair?
- Go to Step 29  -
22 Repair the ground circuit of the sunroof module for an open or high resistance. Refer to CIRCUIT TESTING and WIRING REPAIRS .
Did you complete the repair?
- Go to Step 29  -
23 Repair a short between the sunroof switch open/tilt down and sunroof switch close/tilt up signal circuits. Refer to WIRING REPAIRS .
Did you complete the repair?
- Go to Step 29  -
24 Repair a poor connection in the RAP 2 fused supply voltage circuit harness connector at the junction block-I/P wiring harness. Refer to TESTING FOR INTERMITTENT AND POOR CONNECTIONS and CONNECTOR REPAIRS .
Did you complete the repair?
- Go to Step 29  -
25 Repair an open in the RAP 2 fused supply voltage circuit to the sunroof module. Refer to WIRING REPAIRS .
Did you complete the repair?
- Go to Step 29  -
26 Replace the sunroof switch. Refer to Sunroof Switch Replacement .
Did you complete the replacement?
- Go to Step 29  -
27 Replace the circuit breaker.
Did you complete the replacement?
- Go to Step 29  -
28 Replace the sunroof module. Refer to Power Sunroof Motor Replacement .
Did you complete the replacement?
- Go to Step 29  -

  1. Turn OFF the ignition.
  2. Remove any jumper wires.
  3. Reconnect all previously disconnected components.
  4. Replace the fuse if necessary.
  5. Re-initialize the sunroof. Refer to Sunroof Motor Synchronization .
  6. Operate the system in order to verify the repair.

- System OK Go to Step 3
