DTC C0750, C0755, C0760 Or C0765: Tire Pressure Monitoring Sensor Failure: Testing

  1. If tire pressure monitoring diagnostic system check has been performed, go to next step. If tire pressure monitoring diagnostic system check has not been performed, perform TIRE PRESSURE MONITORING DIAGNOSTIC SYSTEM CHECK  under SELF-DIAGNOSTIC SYSTEM.
  2. Connect scan tool to Data Link Connector (DLC). DLC is located below left side of instrument panel, near steering column. Turn ignition switch to RUN position. Using scan tool, select DTC function for tire pressure monitor. If scan tool indicates DTCs C0750, C0755, C0760 or C0765 as current, go to next step. If scan tool does not indicate DTCs C0750, C0755, C0760 or C0765 as current, see DIAGNOSTIC AIDS  .
    3. NOTE: Some occurrences of this DTC can be caused by radio frequency interference, or driving conditions.
  3. Verify conditions with customer to see if vehicle operation caused DTC to be stored. If vehicle operation did not cause DTC to store, go to next step. If vehicle operation caused DTC to store, see DIAGNOSTIC AIDS  .
  4. Using scan tool, observe suspect sensor tire pressure sensor battery status data parameter in tire pressure monitor data display list. If scan tool indicates sensor battery status as OK, go to next step. If scan tool does not indicate sensor battery status as OK, go to step  6 .
  5. Using scan tool, clear DTCs. Operate vehicle within code enable criteria. See CODE ENABLE CRITERIA  . If DTC resets, go to next step. If DTC does not reset, system is okay at this time.
  6. Replace suspect tire pressure monitor sensor. After repair, go to next step.
  7. Using scan tool, clear DTCs. Operate vehicle within code enable criteria. See CODE ENABLE CRITERIA  . If DTC resets, go to next step. If DTC does not reset, system is okay at this time.
  8. Replace Remote Control Door Lock Receiver (RCDLR). Program tire pressure monitoring sensors. See TIRE PRESSURE MONITORING SENSOR  under PROGRAMMING. If DTC reset, see DIAGNOSTIC AIDS  . If DTC does not reset, system is okay at this time.
