Test Z: High Beam Indicator Inoperative

  1. If lighting diagnostic system check was performed, go to next step. If lighting diagnostic system check was not performed, go to LIGHTING DIAGNOSTIC SYSTEM CHECK  under DIAGNOSTIC SYSTEM CHECKS.
  2. Check operation of high beams. If high beams operate properly, go to next step. If high beams do not operate properly, diagnose high beam circuit. See HEADLIGHT SYSTEMS & DAYTIME RUNNING LIGHTS article.
  3. Check for faulty connections at Instrument Panel Cluster harness connector. If no problem was found, go to next step. If a problem was found and corrected, go to step  5.
  4. Replace IPC. See INSTRUMENT PANEL CLUSTER  under REMOVAL & INSTALLATION. After repairs, go to next step.
  5. After repairs, recheck operation of high beam indicator. If indicator operates properly, repair is complete. If indicator does not operate properly, return to step  2.
