Test Z: High Beam Indicator Inoperative
- If lighting diagnostic system check was performed, go to next step. If lighting diagnostic system check was not performed, go to LIGHTING DIAGNOSTIC SYSTEM CHECK under DIAGNOSTIC SYSTEM CHECKS.
- Check operation of high beams. If high beams operate properly, go to next step. If high beams do not operate properly, diagnose high beam circuit. See HEADLIGHT SYSTEMS & DAYTIME RUNNING LIGHTS article.
- Check for faulty connections at Instrument Panel Cluster harness connector. If no problem was found, go to next step. If a problem was found and corrected, go to step 5.
- Replace IPC. See INSTRUMENT PANEL CLUSTER under REMOVAL & INSTALLATION. After repairs, go to next step.
- After repairs, recheck operation of high beam indicator. If indicator operates properly, repair is complete. If indicator does not operate properly, return to step 2.
