Test AF: Mph (Km/H) Indicator Inoperative

NOTE: MPH or KM/H indicator does not illuminate.
  1. If instrument cluster diagnostic system check was performed, go to next step. If instrument cluster diagnostic system check was not performed, go to INSTRUMENT CLUSTER DIAGNOSTIC SYSTEM CHECK  under DIAGNOSTIC SYSTEM CHECKS.
  2. Turn ignition off and back on. This will activate Instrument Panel Cluster (IPC) bulb check. Observe MPH or KM/H indicator during the bulb check. If MPH or KM/H indicator illuminates during bulb check and then turns off, problem is intermittent, check wiring and connections. If MPH or KM/H indicator does not illuminate during bulb check and then turn off, go to next step.
  3. Replace Instrument Panel Cluster (IPC). See INSTRUMENT PANEL CLUSTER  under REMOVAL & INSTALLATION. After repairs, go to next step.
  4. After repairs, recheck operation of indicator. If indicator operates properly, repair is complete. If indicator does not operate properly, return to step  2.
