Test No. 13: Low Washer Fluid Message Always On
- If instrument panel cluster diagnostic system check has been performed, go to next step. If instrument panel cluster diagnostic system check has not been performed, go to INSTRUMENT PANEL CLUSTER DIAGNOSTIC SYSTEM CHECK under SELF-DIAGNOSTIC SYSTEM.
- Connect scan tool to Data Link Connector (DLC). Disconnect windshield washer fluid level switch connector. See COMPONENT LOCATIONS . Turn ignition on. Using scan tool, select Instrument Panel Cluster (IPC) data list. Monitor WASHER FLUID LEVEL SWITCH status. If WASHER FLUID LEVEL SWITCH status is not OFF, go to next step. If WASHER FLUID LEVEL SWITCH status is OFF, go to step 4 .
- Repair short in Black/White wire between washer fluid level switch and IPC connector C2 terminal B12. See Figure . After repairs, go to INSTRUMENT PANEL CLUSTER DIAGNOSTIC SYSTEM CHECK under SELF-DIAGNOSTIC SYSTEM.
- Replace washer fluid level switch. After repairs, go to INSTRUMENT PANEL CLUSTER DIAGNOSTIC SYSTEM CHECK under SELF-DIAGNOSTIC SYSTEM.
