Low Washer Fluid Level Indicator Always On
- Perform INSTRUMENT CLUSTER DIAGNOSTIC SYSTEM CHECK under TROUBLE SHOOTING. Go to next step.
- Disconnect windshield washer fluid level switch. See COMPONENT LOCATIONS . Turn ignition switch to ON position. Use DVOM and measure voltage between ground and washer fluid level switch connector terminal "B" (Brown/Yellow wire). If battery voltage is indicated, go to next step. If battery voltage is not indicated, go to step 4).
- Use DVOM to measure resistance between ground and washer fluid level switch connector terminal "A" (Black wire). If reading is 0-5 ohms, go to step 5). If reading is not 0-5 ohms, go to step 6).
- Check for open circuit in Brown/Yellow wire between washer fluid level switch and gauge cluster. Repair as necessary and recheck system operation. If circuit is okay, go to step 7).
- Replace washer fluid level switch. See WASHER FLUID LEVEL SWITCH under REMOVAL & INSTALLATION. Recheck system operation.
- Locate and repair open in Black wire between washer fluid level switch and ground. Recheck system operation.
- Replace gauge cluster. See INSTRUMENT CLUSTER GAUGES under REMOVAL & INSTALLATION. Recheck system operation.
