Low Engine Oil Indicator Always On
- Perform INSTRUMENT CLUSTER DIAGNOSTIC SYSTEM CHECK under TROUBLE SHOOTING. Go to next step.
- Disconnect engine oil level sensor connector. See COMPONENT LOCATIONS . Turn ignition switch to ON position. Use DVOM and measure voltage between ground and engine oil level sensor connector terminal No. 2 (Brown/Green wire). If battery voltage is indicated, go to step 4). If battery voltage is not indicated, go to next step.
- Check for open or poor connection in Brown/Green wire between engine oil level sensor and gauge cluster. If circuit is okay, replace and program the instrument cluster. See procedures in INSTRUMENT CLUSTER under REMOVAL & INSTALLATION.
- Check for open or poor connection in Black wire between engine oil level sensor and ground. If circuit is okay, replace engine oil level sensor.
