Low Engine Coolant Indicator Always On

  1. Perform INSTRUMENT CLUSTER DIAGNOSTIC SYSTEM CHECK  under TROUBLE SHOOTING. Go to next step.
  2. Disconnect cooling fluid maximum capacity sensor connector. See COMPONENT LOCATIONS  . Turn ignition switch to ON position. Use DVOM and measure voltage between ground and cooling fluid maximum capacity sensor connector terminal "B" (Brown/Blue wire). If battery voltage is indicated, go to next step. If battery voltage is not indicated, go to step 4).
  3. Check for open or poor connection in Black wire between cooling fluid maximum capacity sensor and ground. If circuit is okay, replace cooling fluid maximum capacity sensor. Go to INSTRUMENT CLUSTER DIAGNOSTIC SYSTEM CHECK  .
  4. Check for open or poor connection in Brown/Blue wire between cooling fluid maximum capacity sensor and gauge cluster. If circuit is okay, replace and program the instrument cluster. See INSTRUMENT CLUSTER under REMOVAL & INSTALLATION. Go to INSTRUMENT CLUSTER DIAGNOSTIC SYSTEM CHECK  .
