Code RS0051: RSS Control Module Calibration Fault

  1. Turn ignition on. Using scan tool, calibrate RSS control module. See CALIBRATING RSS CONTROL MODULE  under ADJUSTMENTS. Clear codes. Wait 30 seconds. Display codes. If Code RS0051 is not set, go to next step. If Code RS0051 is set, go to step 3).
  2. Calibration was successful. Perform ELC trim height and steering autocenter adjustments. See ELC TRIM HEIGHT  and STEERING AUTOCENTER  under ADJUSTMENTS.
  3. Using scan tool, calibrate RSS control module. See CALIBRATING RSS CONTROL MODULE  under ADJUSTMENTS. Clear codes. Wait 30 seconds. Display codes. If Code RS0051 is set, go to next step. If Code RS0051 is not set, calibration was successful. Perform ELC trim height and steering autocenter adjustments. See ELC TRIM HEIGHT  and STEERING AUTOCENTER  under ADJUSTMENTS.
  4. Replace RSS control module. Calibrate NEW RSS control module. See CALIBRATING RSS CONTROL MODULE  under ADJUSTMENTS.
