Removal Procedure

- Intake Manifold Cover - Remove - Intake Manifold Cover Replacement
- Throttle Body Assembly - Remove - Throttle Body Assembly Replacement
- Evaporative Emission Canister Purge Solenoid Valve - Remove - Evaporative Emission Canister Purge Solenoid Valve Replacement
- NOTE:
The intake manifold bolts are retained in the intake manifold. Loosen the bolts until the threads are disengaged from the camshaft cover.
Intake Manifold Bolt (1) - Remove
Radiator Surge Tank Inlet Hose Clip (1) @ Intake Manifold - Remove [2x]
Intake Manifold Bolt (1) - Remove [8x]
- Detach the wire harness and coolant tube retainers at the rear of the intake manifold and position harness and coolant tube aside.
- Remove the intake manifold.
- Cover the cylinder head passages in order to prevent dirt or debris from entering the passages.
Intake Manifold Gasket (1) - Remove and DISCARD
- Intake Manifold - Clean and inspect - Intake Manifold Cleaning and Inspection
- Transfer components as necessary.
