Removal Procedure

- Camshaft Timing Chain - Left Side - Remove - Camshaft Timing Chain Assembly Replacement - Left Side
Fuel Injection Fuel Rail Noise Shield (1) - Remove - Fuel Injection Fuel Rail Noise Shield Replacement
Engine Coolant Air Bleed Pipe (1) - Remove - Engine Coolant Air Bleed Pipe Replacement (3.6L LGX)
- Fuel Feed Intermediate Pipe - Remove - Fuel Feed Intermediate Pipe Replacement
Vacuum Pump Pipe Bolt (2) - Remove
- Remove the ground wire bolt and ground wire.
- Disconnect and reposition harness as necessary.
Valve Lifter-Left Side (1, 2) - Remove - Valve Lifter Replacement - Left Side , or Valve Lifter Replacement - Left Side
Camshaft Carrier - Left Side (2) - Remove - Camshaft Carrier Removal - Left Side
Remove and DISCARD the 2 front M8 left cylinder head bolts (1).
- Cylinder Head Bolt (2) [8x] - Remove and DISCARD
- Cylinder Head Assembly (3) - Remove
- Cylinder Head Gasket (4) - Remove and DISCARD
- Cylinder Head Cleaning and Inspection
- Engine Block Cleaning and Inspection
- Disassemble the cylinder head as necessary. Cylinder Head Disassemble
