Removal Procedure

WARNING: This page is about a different variant/trim than selected.
  1. Remove the engine sight shield. Refer to Engine Sight Shield Replacement .
    2. Fig 1: Positive Crankcase Ventilation Hose/Pipe/Tube, Seal Ring & Mounting Components

  2. Remove the positive crankcase ventilation (PCV) hose bolt (4) from the turbocharger.
  3. Remove the positive crankcase ventilation stud (2).
  4. Remove and DISCARD the positive crankcase ventilation hose seal ring (1).
  5. Remove the PCV hose (3) from the PCV hose stud (2). Refer to Metal Collar Quick Connect Fitting Service .

    NOTE:

    Detach the PCV hose carefully from the camshaft cover. After the removal the PCV hose must not be reused anymore.

  6. Remove the PCV from the camshaft cover with a suitable screwdriver (1).
