Removal Procedure

WARNING: This page is about a different variant/trim than selected.
  1. Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle .
  2. Remove the right front wheel. Refer to Tire and Wheel Removal and Installation .
  3. Remove the right front wheelhouse liner. Refer to Front Wheelhouse Liner Replacement .
  4. Remove the right front compartment splash shield. Refer to Front Compartment Splash Shield Replacement .

  5. Use the EN-47981  holder (1) to counterhold the crankshaft.

  6. Remove and DISCARD the crankshaft balancer bolt (2) while counterholding the crankshaft.
  7. Remove the crankshaft balancer (1).
