Installation Procedure

  1. Install the crankshaft balancer (1).
  2. Install a NEW crankshaft balancer bolt (2) and handtighten.

    CAUTION:

    Refer to Torque-to-Yield Fastener Caution .

  3. Tighten the crankshaft balancer bolt a first pass to 150 N.m (111 lb ft), using the EN-45059  meter. Use the EN-47981  holder (1) to counterhold the crankshaft.
  4. Tighten the crankshaft balancer bolt a final pass to an additional 100 degrees, using the EN-45059  meter. Use the EN-47981  holder (1) to counterhold the crankshaft.
  5. Install the right front compartment splash shield. Refer to Front Compartment Splash Shield Replacement .
  6. Install the right front wheelhouse liner. Refer to Front Wheelhouse Liner Replacement .
  7. Install the right front wheel. Refer to Tire and Wheel Removal and Installation .
  8. Lower and unsupport the vehicle.
