Stabilizer Shaft Replacement (GNE)

Preliminary Procedure

  1. Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle .
  2. Remove the tire and wheel assembly. Refer to Tire and Wheel Removal and Installation .
  3. Disconnect the stabilizer links from the stabilizer shaft. Refer to Stabilizer Shaft Link Replacement (GNE) .
1 Stabilizer Shaft Insulator Fastener (Qty:4)
CAUTION:

Refer to Fastener Caution .


Procedure 
Install NEW clamp bolts.
Tighten 
22 N.m (16 lb ft) + 30 degrees
2 Stabilizer Shaft Bracket (Qty2)
3 Stabilizer Shaft
Procedure 
Replace insulator if necessary.
NOTE:

If the stabilizer bar has broken, inspect the rear coil springs for witness marks indicating contact. If there is noticeable contact or paint removed , replace the coil spring.
