Removal Procedure

WARNING: This page is about a different variant/trim than selected.
  1. Disconnect the negative battery cable. Refer to Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection (Without Start/Stop) .
  2. Remove the camshaft cover. Refer to Camshaft Cover Replacement (LUK)  or Camshaft Cover Replacement (LEA) .
  3. Fig 1: Timing Chain Tensioner

  4. Remove the timing chain tensioner (1).
  5. Remove the seal from the tensioner and DISCARD.
