Removal Procedure
- Drain the engine oil and remove the oil filter. Refer to Engine Oil and Oil Filter Replacement .
- Support the engine using the engine support fixture. Refer to Engine Support Fixture .
- Remove the drivetrain and front suspension frame front crossmember. Refer to Drivetrain and Front Suspension Frame Replacement

- Remove the transfer case. Refer Transfer Case Replacement

- Remove the front engine cover. Refer to Engine Front Cover Replacement .
- Remove the front exhaust pipe. Refer to Exhaust Front Pipe Replacement (LTG AWD)

- Remove the catalytic converter to oil pan brace fasteners (1).
- Remove the catalytic lower brace (2).
- Remove the catalytic converter. Refer to Catalytic Converter Replacement (LTG)

- Remove the engine oil cooler (2). Refer to Engine Oil Cooler Replacement .

- Remove the rear oil pan to engine block fasteners (1).

- Remove the transmission to oil pan fastener (1).

- Remove the left oil pan to engine block fasteners (2, 3).

- Disconnect the oil level sensor harness connector.
- Remove the oil pan to transmission fastener (2).
- Remove the right oil pan to engine block fasteners (1).

- Remove the oil pan (1) from the engine.
