Installation Procedure

  1. Install the park brake cable to the park brake lever.

  2. Install the park brake cable end to the park brake lever clevis.

  3. Install the park brake lever (2) with the cable (4).
    4. NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Cautions and Notices.
  4. Install the park brake lever nuts (1).

    Tighten:  Tighten the nuts to 10 N.m (89 lb in).

  5. Install the park brake indicator switch electrical connector.
  6. Fold the carpet back in place.
  7. Install the left-side carpet retainer. Refer to Door Sill Plate Replacement (Door) or Door Sill Plate Replacement (Sliding Door) in Interior Trim.
  8. Install the left-side instrument panel insulator. Refer to Knee Bolster, Insulator, Molding Replacement - Instrument Panel in Instrument Panel, Gages and Console.
  9. Adjust the park brake cable. Refer to Park Brake Adjustment .
