Installation Procedure

  1. Install the hood release cable and hood release handle to the vehicle.

  2. Route the hood release cable to the brake pedal bracket plate panel.
  3. Install the hood release cable to the hood latch.
  4. Press the hood release cable grommet into place in order to install the grommet to the brake pedal bracket plate.

  5. Install the hood release handle to the I/P.
    6. NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Cautions and Notices.
  6. Install the screws to the hood release handle.

    Tighten:  Tighten the screws to 2 N.m (18 lb in).

  7. Install the knee bolster. Refer to Knee Bolster, Insulator, Molding Replacement - Instrument Panel in Instrument Panel, Gages and Console.
