Installation Procedure

Fig 1: Locating Liftgate Hinge

Align the hinge with the marks made on the vehicle body.

NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Cautions and Notices.

Install the hinge retaining nuts.
Tighten: Tighten the liftgate hinge stud nuts to 25 N.m (18 lb ft).
Install the headliner. Refer to Headliner Replacement in Interior Trim.
Install the liftgate. Refer to Liftgate Replacement .
