Removal Procedure

  1. Remove the rear seats. Refer to Seat Replacement - Rear .
  2. Remove the rear upper finish panel trim. Refer to Finish Panel Replacement - Upper Rear Trim .
  3. Remove the rear upper finish panel trim. Refer to Trim Panel Replacement - Body Lock Pillar Upper .

  4. Remove the rear seat belt escutcheons.
  5. Remove the rear seat belt anchor retainer bolts. Refer to Seat Belt Retractor Replacement - Rear (LWB w/RPO E59) or Seat Belt Retractor Replacement - Rear (SWB) .
  6. Remove the upper cargo net retainers.
  7. Remove the liftgate sill plate. Refer to Door Sill Plate Replacement - Liftgate .

  8. Remove the rear quarter trim panel retainers using J 38778  .
  9. Feed the seat belts through the openings in the trim panel.
  10. Remove the rear quarter trim panel from the vehicle.
