Installation Procedure

    IMPORTANT: Install a new O-ring to the radiator outlet pipe.
  1. Install the radiator outlet pipe O-ring to the radiator outlet pipe.
  2. Install the radiator outlet pipe to the thermostat housing.
  3. Install the radiator outlet pipe bracket to transmission retaining bolt (3).
  4. Install the radiator outlet pipe bracket to thermostat housing retaining bolt (1).
  5. Install the radiator outlet hose from the radiator outlet pipe. Refer to Radiator Hose Replacement - Outlet (3.8L)  or Radiator Hose Replacement - Outlet (3.6L) .
  6. Install the air cleaner assembly. Refer to Air Cleaner Assembly Replacement in Engine Controls - 3.6 L (LY7).
  7. Fill the cooling system. Refer to Draining and Filling Cooling System (L26 Static Fill) , Draining and Filling Cooling System (LY7 Static Fill)  or Draining and Filling Cooling System (L26, LY7, GE 47716 Fill) .
