Installation Procedure

  1. Use an appropriate Power Steering Pump Pulley Service Kit to install the power steering pump pulley.

    IMPORTANT:
    • Ensure that the face of the pulley hub is flush to within 0.25 mm (0.010 in) with the end of the pump shaft.
    • Do not use the arbor press to install the pulley.
  2. Install the power steering pump to the engine. Refer to Power Steering Pump Replacement (L26)  or Power Steering Pump Replacement (LY7)  or Power Steering Pump Replacement (LS4) .
