Brake System Slow Release

  1. Were you sent here from SYMPTOMS - HYDRAULIC BRAKES? If so, go to next step. If not, go to DIAGNOSTIC STARTING POINT - HYDRAULIC BRAKES  under TROUBLE SHOOTING.
  2. Inspect the hydraulic brake system for proper operation. See HYDRAULIC BRAKE SYSTEM  under SYSTEM TESTS. Did you find and correct a condition? If so, go to step  6 . If not, go to next step.
  3. Inspect the brake assist system for proper operation. See BRAKE ASSIST SYSTEM  under SYSTEM TESTS. Did you find and correct a condition? If so, go to step  6 . If not, go to next step.
  4. Inspect the drum brake system, if equipped, for proper operation. See DRUM BRAKE SYSTEM  under SYSTEM TESTS. Did you find and correct a condition? If so, go to step  6 . If not, go to next step.
  5. Inspect the disc brake system for proper operation. See DISC BRAKE SYSTEM  under SYSTEM TESTS. Did you find and correct a condition? If so, go to step  6 . If not, go to DIAGNOSTIC STARTING POINT - HYDRAULIC BRAKES  under TROUBLE SHOOTING.
  6. Road test the vehicle to confirm proper operation. See ROAD TEST  under TROUBLE SHOOTING. Is the condition still present? If so, go to step  2 . If not, system is okay.
