Instrument Cluster Connector Pin Test

NOTE: For additional instrument panel testing and diagnosis, see SELF-DIAGNOSTICS - article in ENGINE PERFORMANCE section.

1. Remove instrument cluster. See INSTRUMENT CLUSTER  in this article. Place ignition switch in RUN position. See Fig 1 .
2. Make all measurements to ground unless a specific terminal number is given. If voltage is NOT correct at a terminal, check circuit for malfunction using appropriate test.
3. If correct voltage is found at terminals, and the function that uses those terminals is incorrect, check instrument cluster printed circuit and bulbs. If printed circuit and bulbs are okay, replace instrument cluster.
