Removing the bellows for the steering gear

NOTE: TECHNICAL INFORMATION
Perform wheel alignment after installation.

NOTE: Description is for left component only. Procedure on the right side is identical.

Preliminary work

Refer to REMOVE FRONT LEFT OR RIGHT WHEEL .
Refer to REMOVING THE COVER OF THE STEERING ASSEMBLY .
Refer to REMOVING THE TIE ROD END .

Cut the ear hose clamp (1) with the special tool 0 494 152 (32 1 260) .
Remove the ear hose clamp (1).

Release and remove the ribbon clip (1).
Pull down the bellows (2) from the steering gear and remove.
