Replacing the swivel bearing
- Use the special tool 2 472 903
or 5 A47 6E6
for unscrewing and tightening the spherical-collar screws.
- Release spherical-collar screws (1) with the special tool 2 472 903 .
- Remove the wheel bearing (1) .
- Recut the threads in the wheel bearing (2) .
NOTE:
TECHNICAL INFORMATION
Keep the connection between the wheel bearing and the swivel bearing clean and free of oil and grease.

- Replace swivel bearing (2)

Parts: Swivel bearing
- Clean the contact surfaces (1)
on the swivel bearing (2)
and on the wheel bearing (3)
.
- Position the wheel bearing (2)
on the new swivel bearing.
- Replace the spherical-collar screws (1)
.
Parts: Spherical-collar screw
- Tighten the spherical-collar screws (1) crosswise using the special tool 2 472 903 .
