- Refer to REMOVING THE SIDE TRIM PANEL IN THE FOOTWELL AT THE RIGHT-HAND A-PILLAR .

- When components are replaced, the notices in the applicable BMW parts catalogue must be observed.
- Unlock detents (1) and feed out the power distribution box (2) downward.
- Fold the carpet (1) to the side.
- Loosen the detents (2).
- Guide out cover (3) in the arrow direction.
- Unlock all plug connections and disconnect.
- Release detent (1).
- Maneuver the BDC control unit (2) out of the holder (3) in the arrow direction.
