- Lines are allowed to have only one repair area.
- Notices in the diagnostic system circuit diagrams must be observed.
- When components are replaced, the notices in the applicable BMW parts catalogue must be observed.
Preliminary work
- Refer to DEACTIVATING THE 48 V ELECTRICAL SYSTEM .
- Refer to DEACTIVATING ELECTRICAL SYSTEM .
- Refer to REMOVING THE FLAP IN THE LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT WHEEL ARCH TRIM PANEL ON THE RIGHT .

- When components are replaced, the notices in the applicable BMW parts catalogue must be observed.
- Unlock detents (1) and feed out the power distribution box (2) from holder (3).
- Unlock plug connection (1) and disconnect.
- Release the lock (1) in arrow direction.
- Remove LIN power distribution box (2).
