- Lines are allowed to have only one repair area.
- Notices in the diagnostic system circuit diagrams must be observed.
- When components are replaced, the notices in the applicable BMW parts catalogue must be observed.

- Loosen cover (1) at the clip mechanisms and place to the side.
- Loosen nut (1).
- Remove positive battery cable and secure at side.
- Loosen screws (2).
- Remove positive battery cables and secure at side.
- Release the plastic nut (1).
- Remove the power distribution box (2).
