Removing power distribution for front positive battery cable
NOTE:
Description is for left component only. Procedure on the right side is identical.
Preliminary work

- Refer to DEACTIVATING ELECTRICAL SYSTEM .

- Lines are allowed to have only one repair area.
- Notices in the diagnostic system circuit diagrams must be observed.
- When components are replaced, the notices in the applicable BMW parts catalogue must be observed.
- Release the covers (1) on the detents (2).
- Remove the cover (1) in an upwards direction.
- Loosen screws (1).
- Loosen the cable clip (2).
- Remove the cover (3).
- Loosen screw (1) and feed out the associated cables.
- Loosen nuts (2) and feed out the associated cables.
- Loosen screw (1).
- Loosen screws (2).
- Feed out the power distribution box (3) in an upwards direction.
- Unlock plug connection (1) and disconnect.
- Remove the power distribution (2).
