Mounting the wheel

NOTE: TECHNICAL INFORMATION 
Contact surface between brake disk and rim must be clean and free from oil and grease.
Otherwise there is a risk of the wheel coming loose at a later stage.

Result 

» Spots (> 30%) of the bearing surface (1) of the taper on the screw head show silvery wear.

Measure

NOTE: TECHNICAL INFORMATION 
Impact wrenches or electric screwdrivers must never be used to screw in and tighten the wheel bolts.
The rim must lie evenly on the brake disc.
With non-original BMW wheel bolts/rims, it may be necessary to retighten the wheel bolts due to setting behavior (observe the manufacturer's documents).
New wheel bolts must not be oiled.
Recutting a damaged thread (wheel bolt/wheel hub) is not permitted!

TIGHTENING TORQUES SPECIFICATION

Wheel bolts 
M14/SW17 Screw in the lug bolts and evenly tighten crosswise by hand in order to center the rim.
Tighten lug bolts to the prescribed tightening torque with a calibrated torque wrench in a crosswise sequence.
Check all the lug bolts in the same order or retighten to the specified tightening torque.
Tightening torque  140 Nm
Check  140 Nm
