Releasing the rear left and right shock absorber from the body

Perform the steps on the right and left side.
Releasing the rear shock absorber from the body
NOTE:
The following step(s) must be performed if the specified component(s) is/are installed.
- Release all the cables from holder (2).
- Unlock plug connection (1) and disconnect.WARNING: Car may slip off the vehicle hoist where components are supported.
Danger! Immobilization period-threatening injuries!- Secure the vehicle hoist against lowering and lifting.
- Make sure that the vehicle does not lift off the mounting plates on the vehicle lift.
- Position special tool 2 219 012 with special tools 2 411 683 and 2 305 379 under wheel carrier (1).
- Support wheel carrier (1) using special tool 2 219 012
.
Do not press against the spring force of the coil spring.
- Loosen screws (1).
- Disconnect the special tool 2 219 012
and set it aside.
