Installing rear exhaust system

- Support component using a jack.
- Secure component against falling off the jack.

- Remove and install heavy components with the aid of another person/other persons.
- Guide in and install exhaust system (1).
- Replace nuts (arrows).

- Tighten the nuts (arrows).TIGHTENING TORQUES SPECIFICATION
Rear silencer to body/bumper support M8 Replace nuts. Tightening torque 19 Nm NOTE: The following step(s) must be performed if the specified component(s) is/are installed. - Connect connectors (2) and lock.
The connector (2) must engage audibly.
- Replace nut (1).

- Tighten nut (1) on the rear axle support.TIGHTENING TORQUES SPECIFICATION
Exhaust system to rear axle carrier M8 Nut Replace nuts. Tightening torque 19 Nm - Remove the transmission jack and the special tool (mount) 0 495 498 (23 4 050)
from the rear silencer (1).
- Thread in the rear diffuser (1) and position.
- Tighten nuts and bolts (arrows).TIGHTENING TORQUES SPECIFICATION
Undershield Screw Tightening torque 2.6 Nm Plastic nut Tightening torque 2.6 Nm
