Installing the crash-active head restraint for the front seat

Insert the crash-active head restraint (1) including the cable (2) into the backrest from the top.

Clip in the crash-active head restraint (1) into the drive (2).
The clamps (3) must engage noticeably.
Connect and lock the connector (4) and clip into the cable clip.
Check the correct fit of the crash-active head restraint (1) in the clamps (3).

Check

Check the correct locking of the head restraint by means of a pull-off test.
Pull the head restraint upwards by applying hand force.

Result

» Head restraint cannot be detached.

Measure

Continue with the installation.

Hand-tighten the bolt (1).
